What to know so far…

We’re doing things our own way, ya know?

The vision is for an artsy, whimsical, dreamy wedding weekend, to celebrate our community and our love. Come join us in the mountains and get away from it all for a couple days. Take your shoes off; enjoy some dancing and some ceremony and some good vibes.

This page will continue to be updated with details on accommodations, wedding weekend events, our registry, and more! Check back often, or make sure you’re on the Wedding Email List (email atkinson.calvin@gmail.com) for all the updates. We won’t take this as your RSVP; just that you want to stay tuned!! :)

(also YES this is just a page that Calvin put on his theatre website, but like we said, we’re doing things our way!)

Accommodations

Because this is a holiday weekend and a popular destination, we highly recommend booking your lodging as soon as you know you can make it. Unfortunately, Grange Valley does not offer a room block, so we have no way of guaranteeing accommodations. If you know you can make it; just BOOK! :)

We would love to have everyone stay right on the Grange Valley grounds, and then we can just party it up all weekend! To book at Grange Valley, go here: https://grangevalley.com/pocono-lodging. They have a range of options, from single rooms to family cabins, so there will be something for everyone! We’ll be staying from Saturday, May 29th to Monday, May 31st, and you can come for that whole time, or just come for the wedding day on Sunday! Do you booboo! (Also, we might be staying elsewhere in the mountains Monday night, too, but more on that later)

For the budget-conscious, we’d love to help you find a roommie for the weekend! More on these options soon! And it’s even possible to do the wedding day as a [kinda crazy] day trip from NYC; see below!

Getting There

📍Grange Valley Lakeside Inn & Cottages: 432 Grange Road, Mount Pocono, PA 18344

From NYC: First, you can rent a car, and we’d love to set up carpool friends if we can help! The drive is less than two hours, and gets quite scenic. However! Be aware of holiday weekend traffic. For public transit, you can take the Martz Bus to Mount Pocono, PA, and we’ll set up transportation (aka volunteer friends and family) to pick you up and drive you the 5 minutes to Grange Valley. If you’re anticipating doing the public transit option, we recommend booking early! As soon as you book your room! Why not?!

By Plane: Those traveling from further away will have the easiest time flying into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). It is about a 90 minute drive from Newark to Grange Valley; or you may be able to explore the above bus options as well. If Newark doesn’t work, consider flying into Philadelphia for a two-hour drive. We would only recommend flying into JFK if you are trying to do the bus option, as driving from JFK through New York City traffic to Grange Valley will add a lot of travel time.

We recognize that we’re a sort of “destination” wedding and it will take some effort to get to the mountains. We appreciate you if you’re able to make the trek, and we are certain it will be worth the journey! <3 <3 <3
